Vilnius set to become Lithuania’s first green hydrogen producer
In 2026, as expected, after the implementation of the first green hydrogen production project in Lithuania in Vilnius, the companies implementing it Vilnius heat networks (VŠT) head Gerimantas Bakanas says that this new generation fuel will primarily be supplied to the city’s public transport.
However, it is expected that it will also be used by waste haulers, long-distance buses, couriers, and possibly tow trucks.
